I don't know where to begin to express my love for this pad. This bareback sensation has changed my life and my views about riding without a saddle. I used to hate riding bareback because it was always so uncomfortable and I always felt like I was going to fall off if I ever did anything more than a walk. Now, all my bareback problems are solved, thanks to this amazing product!
I first purchased this pad when I was working at a tack shop. I kept seeing this pad at the store and it always intrigued me because it didn't look like the typical fleece bareback pad. Sure enough, I gave into my curiosity one day and the pad was only $50! I was amazed at how inexpensive it was, given that it was made of such nice materials! From then on, my thoughts on this pad just kept getting better and better.
The seat is one of the most comfortable pads I have ever sat in. It is all padded with this amazing foam material that is surprisingly decent at absorbing shock. It is also double padded near the wither area, making it a good product for high-withered horses. Or for sissies, like me! It is also made of this microsuede material, which is perfect for anti-slip bareback adventures! At the front of the pad is a convenient, durable nylon "bucking" strap. All in all, the seat is awesome.
The girth attachment is cool, too. The actual cinch is made of a honeycombed anti-slip material that is very easy to clean. It fits perfectly with the nylon cinch billets on either side of the pad, making it very easy to use and very adjustable.
Finally, the underside of the bareback pad is where the magic is. The entire pad is covered with the same honeycomb anti-slip material! You will never slip with this pad while riding bareback again. It is awesome how it literally stays in one place and is comfortable for you and your horse!
All in all, I say this bareback pad is one of the most economical and logical pads on the market. Not only is it extremely comfortable, but it is really functional as it has the anti-slip component. Better yet, it is pretty inexpensive and very durable! I was never a bareback rider before this pad, but now, I ride bareback at least once a week! I would definitely recommend this pad to any and all riders!
